David Steinberg is an accomplished Executive Director of Commercial Real Estate / Senior Real Estate Advisor with MJPCRE Group. With more than 30 years of experience, he specializes in site selection, entitlement management, lease negotiations, and strategic growth planning across multiple markets. David holds an active real estate license in California and supports clients throughout the transaction process, ensuring smooth navigation from negotiation through contract execution.

Previously, David served as Real Estate Director at Rite Aid, where he managed development operations across more than 20 states. During his 18-year tenure, he oversaw new store openings, relocations, remodels, and property dispositions, and contributed to key initiatives including software transitions, crisis response strategies, and distribution center planning. His background also includes leadership roles with CKE Restaurants, Pennant Food Corp., and Cimm’s Inc., where he was responsible for full-cycle development—market analysis, site acquisition, construction management, and tenant coordination.

David is actively involved in the commercial real estate community as a mentor in the ICSC Mentor Program, a judge for the ICSC Scholarship Program, and a former member of the Cal State University Northridge Business Advisory Committee. He is also affiliated with the Project Management Institute and previously served on the Southern California Franchise Association’s Development Committee for Burger King. Throughout his career, David has implemented scalable systems to streamline development processes and support efficient, multi-state expansion.
