Helen LaCount was born and raised in Orono, Maine, and completed her education at Orono High School and the University of Maine in Orono. She later relocated to California, where she furthered her education at San Jose State University. Throughout her entire professional career, Helen has been involved in the field of Professional Sales, Sales Training, and managing sales forces for prominent organizations on the West Coast. After getting married in San Jose and welcoming her son Spencer into the world, she decided to return to her roots in Maine in 1995. This move provided Helen with the opportunity to pursue her lifelong dream of working in the Real Estate industry. Helen joined Patty T Young's ERA Home Sellers team in South Portland, where she became one of the pioneering Buyer Agents in Maine. Her exceptional performance led to numerous accolades and awards at both the local and statewide levels. In 2008, she joined Keller Williams Realty and played a vital role in establishing the Buyer Division of Universal Properties, now known as the Mateja Group. Year after year, Helen and her team shattered production records and emerged as top producers in the industry. In June 2018, Helen and her son Spencer joined forces to create their own real estate team, La Count Real Estate, operating under the Keller Williams Realty umbrella. With a combined experience of 32 years in the real estate field, they offer buyers and sellers an unparalleled level of service characterized by honesty, integrity, and extensive industry knowledge.
