Nicholas Santillo is currently employed at Signature Premier in Massapequa, where he began his tenure in July 2020. Prior to this, he worked in the finance industry. His birthday falls in mid-March, and he obtained his real estate license in July. At the time he started his career, he was able to physically show houses rather than relying on virtual tours due to Covid-19. Sales has always been a significant part of Nicholas's life. While attending college, he had a connection that led him to a finance role, which he held for approximately 6-7 years. However, he was laid off from this position, which turned out to be both the best and worst thing that could have happened. It forced him to reevaluate his career path and choose a profession he truly enjoyed. Initially, Nicholas had little knowledge about real estate. However, after watching shows like "Million Dollar Listing" with his wife, he became intrigued and decided to learn more. He dedicated himself to studying the industry and eventually entered the field. He started his real estate journey at a small, family-owned business, where he had the privilege of working directly with the owner. This experience provided him with a solid foundation and taught him everything he knows about being a successful real estate agent. One individual who has had a significant impact on Nicholas's career is Chris Kaufman at Realty Advisors in Wantagh. Nicholas holds him in high regard and appreciates the guidance and knowledge he has shared. Additionally, Nicholas would like to acknowledge the owners of Signature Realty, Peter Morris and Cathy, for their support and contributions to his professional growth. While Nicholas currently specializes in residential real estate, his long-term goal is to venture into the commercial sector. He attended school for accounting in Pennsylvania, where he also played lacrosse. After completing his undergraduate degree in 2014, he pursued a master's in accounting, while working in the city. In addition to his career, Nicholas enjoys playing hockey and golf in his spare time. He has earned certifications such as CBR (Certified Buyer Representative) and SRS (Seller Representative Specialist). Although he passed the brokers state exam, he missed the cutoff to take the required 30-hour additional course. Nicholas is an active member of various professional associations, including the National Association of Realtors (NAR), Young Professionals Network (YPN), and the Long Island Board of Realtors. His hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, as he was recognized as one of the Top 20 Realtors Under 40 in 2022. Furthermore, he achieved the number one ranking in units for his office that same year and was among the top 20 realtors in the entire company. Nicholas attributes his success to his upbringing, sports background, discipline, teamwork, accountability, work ethic, and the support of his wife. In his free time, he cherishes moments spent with family and friends.
