Derek completed his master's degree in real estate at DePaul University School of Business. Derek initiated his real estate profession in 2016 and currently holds the position of a managing broker with team Sobiko. Additionally, Derek is an authorized appraiser and an investor himself, with a passion for assisting individuals in navigating and determining the value of real estate. Throughout his career, Derek has been involved in over 375 projects with Team Sabiko. His expertise lies in residential and commercial real estate, where he handles all aspects of leasing, purchasing, and selling. Derek takes pleasure in guiding investors towards profitable opportunities and helping his clients minimize risk. He actively participates in the real estate investment Association for emerging leaders, offering scholarships and leadership programs, as he once received himself. Born and raised in Chicago, Derek is an entrepreneur who specializes in real estate, asset, and entrepreneurial investing. He embarked on his career journey in 2015 after graduating from DePaul University with a degree in Public Relations & Advertising. Following his graduation, Derek initially pursued a career as a marketing professional. However, his entrepreneurial aspirations soon led him towards the real estate industry, which he entered in 2016 after acquiring his real estate broker license. Subsequently, Derek joined a Chicago-based homebuilder, where he gained exposure to various aspects of the business, including capital management, development, and operations. This experience provided him with a fresh perspective, motivating him to become the most valuable advisor in the real estate field. Since making this pivotal decision, Derek has actively participated in numerous transactions, earning his managing broker license, appraisal license, and a Master of Science degree in Real Estate. He attributes his success to his unwavering integrity, honesty, and the guidance provided by his mentors.
